“Tutta mia la città” così recitava una canzone degli anni ’60 dell’Equipe 84, e così pensavo la notte che ho scattato questa foto. Era il 4 di agosto alle 3 di notte, ero nel mezzo di un cantiere dove non sarei dovuto stare, fotocamera/cavalletto/pose lunghe, immobile a far passare i 2 minuti per ogni esposizione: passa una volante, si ferma esce un dei due poliziotti e mi domanda “Che fai?!” io “foto”. Si guardano, mi guardano, mentre chiude lo sportello mi dice “Non puoi star lì..” e se ne vanno…
“Tutta mia la citta” “I have the city all to myself”, as sung by Equipe 84 back in the 1960s, and I had those words in mind the night I took this picture. It was 3 in the morning on the 4th of August, I was in the middle of a building site (that I shouldn’t have been in), camera/tripod/long pose, dead still waiting as the 2 minute exposure for each shot passed by: I see a police car, it stops and two officers get out and one of them asks me, “What are you doing ?!” and I said “ taking a picture”. They looked at each other, they at looked over at me and, as one of them closed the door he said, “Well, you can’t stay there…” and then they drove off.
